Before purchasing our first TrailManor in October 1992 (1993 M23), we had owned a 1988 Coleman Plantation which was the flagship of Coleman's folding campers. We first found out about TrailManors in 1991 at the Harrisburg Fall R.V. show.
Because our Coleman Plantation was not very old, we put off buying a TrailManor at this time. Finally, in September of 1992 we again looked at the TrailManor travel trailers at the Harrisburg R.V. show. We were not sure how we would like the TrailManor since we did not know anyone who owned the campers so we could get some feedback about their experiences owning the campers. We decided to purchase the M23 model (2720 today) which had a very nice floor plan.
At the Fall 1993 Harrisburg R.V. show, we saw the 3326 King model and fell in love with all the extra space and features. Keith Hulsey was at the show, and he answered numerous questions that we had about the largest model made by TrailManor. Since we liked the 23M model so much after having used it for one year, we decided to purchase the 3326 King model.
We used the 1994 3326 King for eight years, and we were very happy with it. While attending the 2001 Harrisburg R.V. show, we decided to buy a 2002 3326 King from Bryant's RV ShowCase who was the dealer representing TrailManor at the show. Dennis Smeltzer was at the show as the TrailManor representative, and he answered many questions that we had concerning the 2002 models from TrailManor.
We could not believe all of the changes that were made to the TrailManor trailer in the eight years since we bought the 1994 3326 King model. For anyone seriously thinking about buying a tent camper for the first time, one should look at what the TrailManor offers in comparison to a tent camper. The price and total weight of tent campers today is not what it was when we first purchased the Coleman Plantation tent camper in 1988. To purchase a large enough tent camper with a lot of extra options, you will be looking at a large investment which will depreciate for you. For most people, they will turn around in two or three years and move up to something more convenient. Instead of this initial outlay of cash for a tent camper, why not skip buying the tent camper and using the cash towards the purchase of a smaller TrailManor travel trailer which should satisfy your needs for a long time.
For anyone deciding to purchase a TrailManor in lieu of a tent camper, always make sure you buy the right size and floor plan that will fit your personal needs. If we had been able to talk to people about their own personal experiences with the TrailManor, we would not have bought the tent camper first.
I know that when we were at the 2001 Harrisburg R.V. show, I spoke to several people who were seriously thinking about purchasing a TrailManor. When I told them that we had owned two TrailManors, and we were buying a 2002 model, they felt a lot more comfortable about purchasing one. Prospective owners have a lot more faith in talking to a present owner over the salesman who they think is just trying to make a sale.
For us, the ease of set up and the ease of towing were the two most important factors in purchasing a TrailManor travel trailer. I pull our 3326 King with a Dodge Durango which had the towing package when I ordered it in 1998. Everyone is surprised when I tell them that I get 12-13 MPG towing the loaded 3326 King trailer.
If you take care of your trailer, it will give you many years of trouble free service. Bryant's RV ShowCase could not believe how new our 1994 3326 King TrailManor was when we traded it in on the 2002 TrailManor. Normal routine cleaning and maintenance will pay off in the end. Because the 1994 trailer was in such good condition, we received an excellent trade in allowance. We left the trailer off at Bryant's on Saturday, and people from New Jersey looked at the trailer on Sunday, and they bought it on the spot.
Anyone seriously looking at buying a TrailManor can all me at 570-888-6111 or they can email us at ronwmiller@clarityconnect.com. I would be very happy to answer any questions that you might have regarding a TrailManor. After owning three TrailManors and ten years later, I think that I have learned quite a lot about the trailers.

I purchased my TrailManor (2619) in April of 2002 in Ft Worth , TX from Happy Camper Inc. (dealer) I drive a 1996 Buick station wagon (last one built in 1996). I wanted something I could pull with this vehicle. It has a 5.7 liter engine package to pull 5000#. I am very fond of the vehicle. The dealer was most helpful. They schooled me for two hours on the TrailManor.
I wanted something light, easy to pull, easy to rig up...comfortable to stay in. Plus economical to own. I previously owned a 40' rv (I won't mention the name) didn't do a lot of traveling in it cause there was always something wrong with it. That was years ago and it sure soured me on traveling until I decided to go TrailManor.
Hey, after a couple of short, get acquainted trips...in fact I spent one night in a park not 20 blocks from my home...I hit the trail out to Big Bend for a week. Not only did I love the way the TrailManor handled, but it was a super trip. One time I left the steps down, one time I left an object too high and could not close the top. But I soon learned, like dancing with a partner, it rigs up and down...easy, easy...just relax and don't push it. If you do it right it'll act like a well trained horse.
Anyway, in June of 2002, my wife and I took off for Santa Fe, New Mexico. We spent four months living in the our new TrailManor in a park called "Santa Fe Skies". They cater to big rigs, too, owned by the Brown family, pioneers of Santa Fe. It was wonderful. Our trailer was admired and we were very, very comfortable. My wife trades stocks extensively, and she hooked a phone line and was able to do her daily trading with ease. We then went to Ruidoso, NM for two weeks, then home in September. I have been out for a few days this year planning another trip to Big Bend and out west.

We had been looking for a used TrailManor for some time, when we finally came across one in our area last year, and at a good price; so we graduated from our pop-up camper to one that still tows easily and smoothly, yet is so easy to set up, and quite effortlessly, too.
We are always amazed, as well as our friends, as to how we have a regular 31' RV with sofas and everything when it is set up, yet is so compact when closed.
Needless to say... We Love Our TrailManor!
